Reflecting on the European MCT Summit 2025

This time last week I was arriving home form the 2025 European MCT Summit in Manchester, UK.

As I sit down to reflect on the event, I am filled with a sense of gratitude and accomplishment. First and foremost, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended, helped with running the event, our incredible speakers, and our generous sponsors. Your support and participation made this event truly special. A special shoutout goes to the venue staff at UA92 for their exceptional service and support. Organizing an event of this scale is no small feat, and their professionalism and dedication were instrumental in making everything run smoothly

It was fantastic to see so many familiar faces and meet new ones. However, I regret that I didn’t get the chance to speak with everyone one-on-one. The energy and enthusiasm in the venue were palpable, and it was clear that our community spirit is still strong.

This was my first time leading the organisation of a community event and though I thought I knew what I was letting myself in for, organizing the summit was hard work, though also incredibly rewarding. It’s worth remember that all community events are organised by people volunteering their time, and that organizers like volunteers, speakers and attendees, do not profit from it. Instead, we are all driven by our passion for fostering connections and sharing knowledge within the MCT community. Whilst I’d be the first to agree that no event is perfect and there is always room for improvement, I was genuinely very happy with the event on the whole but will be taking the feedback and lessons into future events to help make them even better.

Looking ahead, I am excited about the upcoming MCT events in 2025, including the North America MCT Summit in Redmond, WA, where I will be speaking, and next year’s European Summit in Bosnia & Herzegovina. Additionally, I am thrilled about the inaugural South African MCT Summit, which promises to be another fantastic opportunity for learning and networking.  II’m happy to lending both events my support as an advisor and hope to be able to attend both.

To all who attended watch your email and the What’s App chat for details of photos and patches. the sessions which were recorded are being edited and some sound polishing being done (remember to use microphones people!!!) and then they will be shared on MCT Lounge.

To all budding event organizers out there, my top tip is to take the following week off work! Trust me, you’ll need it to recharge and reflect on the amazing experience.

Thank you once again to everyone who made the European MCT Summit 2025 a success. Let’s continue to learn, share, and grow together as a community.
