These courses have been designed especially for Office 2011 for Mac courses and to give equivalent knowledge to our PC based courses of similar levels.

Excel 2011

Introduction

DURATION:

One Day

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

To give an introduction to creating Spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel covering:

  • Excel Basics
  • Simple Formulas and Functions
  • Managing the Worksheet
  • Formatting the Worksheet
  • Printing

WHO SHOULD ATTEND:

This course assumes no previous experience of Spreadsheets. However, delegates with some experience in working with Spreadsheets will find this course beneficial as it looks at creating Spreadsheets as well as working with them.

EXPERIENCE NEEDED:

Delegates do not require prior experience or knowledge of Excel. Basic computer skills are required.

 

Intermediate

DURATION:

One Day

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

To build on some existing spreadsheet creation skills gained from the Introduction course or similar experience covering:

  • Using multiple Worksheet and Workbooks
  • Charting
  • Advanced Functions
  • Advanced Formatting

WHO SHOULD ATTEND:

People who intend to create Spreadsheets at intermediate level or improve existing Excel databases.

EXPERIENCE NEEDED:

Delegates should have attended the Introduction course or have equivalent prior knowledge.

 

Advanced

DURATION:

One Day

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

This course takes users to a high level of knowledge using financial topics available in Excel such as Financial functions, auditing and Charts covering:

  • Working with Lists
  • Working with Macros and User Defined Functions
  • Using Analysis Tool
  • Creating and Editing Macros

WHO SHOULD ATTEND:

People who intend need to customize Spreadsheets, protect data and automate procedures

EXPERIENCE NEEDED:

Delegates should have attended the Intermediate course or have equivalent prior knowledge.

 

Outlook 2011

DURATION

One Day

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

•    Use Outlook to organise your day

•    Use Outlook Mail as your email editor

•    Track and group your messages to organise your mail

•    Use the calendar to schedule and view events

•    Prioritise and delegate tasks to manage your time

•    Manage contact records for quick access to addresses

WHO SHOULD ATTEND:

Those new to Outlook or those looking to gain knowledge of the full range of features within Outlook.

EXPERIENCE NEEDED:

Delegates do not require prior experience or knowledge of Outlook. Basic computer skills are required.

PowerPoint 2011

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

  • Create and edit simple presentations
  • Enhance presentations by formatting
  • Use the drawing tools to create and edit logos & pictures
  • Insert objects
  • Apply Slide design
  • Set-up presentations for printing purposes
  • Create and automate screen shows

WHO SHOULD ATTEND:

PowerPoint is a powerful presentations application, which allows the user to create intuitive presentations for paper, screen or web output.

EXPERIENCE NEEDED:

Delegates do not require prior experience or knowledge of PowerPoint. Basic computer skills are required.

Advanced

DURATION:

One Day

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

  • Customizing PowerPoint
  • Use the Tables, Organization charts, Graphs ,Excel Spreadsheets in the presentation
  • Enhance presentations by Drawing Objects, Applying Colours to Objects, Rotating Objects, Grouping Objects
  • Use of design templates, Themes and Master Slides
  • Understanding to view the slide shows
  • Save a presentation in HTML format and presentation on web.
  • Run, edit and delete Macros

Word 2011

Introduction

DURATION:

One Day

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

  • Create and save documents for easy retrieval
  • Insert and delete text to edit a document
  • Move, copy, and replace text
  • Modify text for emphasis
  • Learn document and paragraph formatting
  • Set and remove tab stops to enhance document appearance
  • Use margins, indents, bullets, and numbering to change text layout
  • Use templates and Style Sets to create and enhance documents

WHO SHOULD ATTEND:

Microsoft Word 2007 combines a powerful word processing application with the user-friendly atmosphere of Windows. Training participants will learn the basics of creating, editing, and saving documents in our Fundamentals level class. They will learn to use Online Help and to modify and enhance character appearance. Participants will format text into tabular columns, create and manage tables, use error-checking tools, and control page layout with margins, indents, and page breaks.

Delegates do not require prior experience or knowledge of Word. Basic computer skills are required.

Advanced

DURATION:

One Day

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

  • Review Documents
  • Working with Graphics and Tables
  • Integrating Data from Other Applications
  • Create Personalised Documents for Multiple Recipients

WHO SHOULD ATTEND:

Those looking to maximize their use of advanced Word features.

EXPERIENCE NEEDED:

Delegates should have attended the Introduction course or have equivalent prior knowledge.
